Marion Spence first came to work for Mr. Godwin on a part-time basis shortly after he moved his law practice to South Carolina in the 1980s. After 29 years of teaching in the classroom at Bob Jones University, Marion left BJU to work full-time for Mr. Godwin and has worked for him faithfully for over 30 years. Recently, Marion stepped back to partial-retirement, but she still matches expectant mothers with adoptive couples.
Also, as a Certified Adoption Investigator for the State of South Carolina, Marion supports other agencies and law firms by preparing pre- and post-placement home study reports, interviewing expectant mothers, and conducting birth parent relinquishments. She has been a speaker at adoption seminars and stays active in the adoption community.
Marion and her husband, Blake, have four children and 19 grandchildren. In her spare time, she loves to shop, sew, cook and bake, entertain, travel, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She and her husband are members of Hampton Park Baptist Church.
