Activities Enjoyed Together:As a family we love: visiting the zoo, reading books, playing outside in our backyard, going to the pool in the summer and the bounce house down the road in the winter! We also really love spending time with our family, we are very lucky that most of our immediate family lives very close to our home. As a couple we enjoy watching various television series together, our favorite show currently is Game of Thrones. On summer evenings we really enjoy sitting outside on our patio and watching the lighting bugs and taking in the evening.
Your Birth Mother Letter:
We are Kevin and Ashley. We want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. We are a southern family of three who loves our family, food and having fun with our friends! Our hope is to provide you with an open and honest picture of who we are as a couple and as a family.
We always knew that we wanted to have several children one day. Kevin's hopes were for two and Ashley's hopes were for four, we met in the middle and decided that three would be a good number. We wanted to ensure that we were financially stable before we started having children. Being able to provide for our family is very important to both of us. We had three goals that we wanted to accomplish: graduate from college, obtain a good job and buy a home. After a lot of hard work we accomplished our goals and decided we wanted to start adding to our family. We were together for about 6 years before we started trying to conceive.
We are your typical couple that assumed getting our lives in order is the hard part, and having babies is the easy part! Shortly after we started trying to have a baby we were referred to a fertility specialist who informed us that we would need to go through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in order to become pregnant. We did two rounds of fertility treatments and became pregnant with our first child. We are now ready to add to our family and we have two choices: Adoption or IVF, we wholeheartedly choose adoption.
Our family is no stranger to adoption as Kevin's first cousins are adopted. We love them so much and could not imagine not having them in our lives! Their family structure is very similar to what we hope ours will be one day. Their first child was conceived and their middle and youngest child are adopted. We hope that our adoption journey and experience will be as wonderful as his Aunt and Uncle's journey.
Thank you again for taking the time to read our portfolio. We would never assume to know how you are feeling, or how difficult this decision may be for you to make. A decision that is so selfless could only be made by a remarkable person who is strong, loving and courageous. We wish you all the best through your journey.
