Child Care Arrangements: During the school year, our child would go to a day care near our house. Since Ashley is a teacher, she would be at home with our child during the summer and during breaks from school. Due to Ashley's background in education, we believe that early childhood education is very important. We have found a local preschool that would provide the type of educational foundation we are interested in seeing our child have when the time comes.

Activities Enjoyed Together: We love to travel together. Ashley especially loves warm places with sunny beaches, so we spend a great of time near the ocean. We enjoy exercising together, especially running, and watching football. During the fall, we spend a great deal of time with friends and family at college and NFL football games. We do not have any children, but since most of our friends are parents we spend a lot of afternoons with their children at birthday parties and school performances. Our house is often full of people watching sporting events, playing games, or cooking out.

Jeremy also likes to golf, but he has yet to convince Ashley to go golfing with him! Ashley would rather curl up with a good book and read.

Dear Birth Mother

Thank you so much for taking the time to find out a little about us. It seems like “thank you” is not nearly enough for this incredible decision you are making. We are in awe of your compassion and courage as you make this difficult decision. The gift of adoption is the ultimate act of profound love and selflessness. We respect your decision to find the best possible family to nurture and cherish your baby.

We are excited to become parents and welcome a child into our home and family. We began considering adoption several years ago and after much prayer, we started this process. Through reading this letter, we hope that you will get a sense of our lives and the love we hope to provide your child. We were both born and raised in South Carolina. Jeremy's parents were high school sweethearts and have been married for 37 years. His parents taught Jeremy and his younger brother, Travis, to value faith and hard work growing up. Ashley's parents also met in high school and have been married for 39 years. She was taught that she could achieve anything she put her mind to as long as she remained determined to be successful and focused on her goals. Ashley has one younger brother, Josh, who recently married his college girlfriend. We met 11 years ago, shortly after Ashley graduated from college, and began dating almost immediately. We realized quickly that we shared common values and goals for the future. Jeremy proposed in September 2005, and we were married in July 2006!

Jeremy has a bachelor's degree in computer science. He works as a software developer for a food services company. When not working, Jeremy likes to play golf, work in the yard, and exercise. Jeremy hopes to someday teach our child to play all kinds of sports. Ashley has a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's degree in education. She is employed as a special education teacher. Ashley loves to read, work out, and shop. We are both huge NFL and college football fans and love to spend time cheering on our favorite teams. One of the things we look forward to the most as parents is traveling with our child. We love to explore new cities and countries! We would be thrilled to welcome a child into our lives. We are fortunate to be surrounded by family, friends, and a church community who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the child God has chosen for us to raise.

More than anything, we want you to know that we would love your child unconditionally and will devote our lives to providing him or her with all the love, security, and joy we can offer. We want your child to have every advantage we can give. We would raise your child with an understanding and appreciation for you and the sacrifice you are making for him or her. Our family and friends are ready to support us in loving a child beyond words.

Thank you for considering us,
Jeremy and Ashley
